Spotting a Gem

Thrift stores hold so many hidden treasures.  I can’t tell you the countless affordable, high quality and unique items I’ve scored from thrift stores.  My latest fantastic find was this $5 maxi dress.  Can you believe it? I spotted it at the Goodwill on the returns rack after I came out the dressing room. It was just hanging there all by its self.  I couldn’t believe that someone had passed up this dress, let alone donated it.  Of course, the same thing can be said about all of the items I’ve donated, lol. I once donated my unworn wedding dress, tags still attached (long story).

Dramatic Maxi Dresses

This dress is simple in style but the beading and embroidering make it stand out. I am weary of thrifting anything with heavy beading or sequins because it’s usually damaged. The beading on this dress is in PERFECT condition and it has a full slip underneath.  It was meant to come home with me.  I don’t thrift as much as I use to but thrifting is an affordable way to find great pieces to expand your wardrobe.
