Can you believe my belt cost more than my dress, which was purchased almost five years ago during my first trip to a Goodwill retail store for $5!  I like to look good and shop like most women but I also have to make sure I stay within my means which sometimes requires me to be strategic.

For example, I had been on the hunt for a pink or red purse for quite some time.  I played the waiting game and finally during Memorial Day weekend Macy’s had a huge sale on designer handbags with an additional 20% off, I was able to scoop this Ralph Lauren satchel for $156.  As usual I had buyer’s remorse once I finally got the purse in my hands. I was nervous that I wouldn’t be able to incorporate a hot pink purse into my outfits on a daily basis.  As you can see that hasn’t been a problem at all, lol.

All together minus my purse today’s outfit cost me around $80.50, not including accessories.  For me it’s all about mixing the highs and lows to get the perfect outfit, and sometimes it doesn’t hurt to wait things out.

  2. You know I love a CK dress. Yours is a perfect fit and the gold belt takes the entire look up a notch.

  3. I totally agree with mixing highs and lows and even finding my highs marked down. Some clothes that are bought in discount retail stores have that "look" and the key is sport items that LOOK expensive but are not (Forever 21 & H&M do a good job with this). I love that sheath and the fact that you thrifted it is AWESOME!
