| Blazer – Zara | Tank – Target | Skirt – H&M | Shoes – Joe’s Jeans | I was completely uninspired by the last outfit I posted featuring this beautiful skirt. It looked amazing in person but the outfit didn’t photograph well. So here we are again same skirt, different look. I promised you guys I would share at least five ways to style this skirt. I owe you three more! Every time I wear this leopard blazer to work I feel like I am doing the most. I avoid wearing colorful shoes at work but I’ll show up in a Peggy Bundy blazer! Sounds like a good balance, right? Do you ever wear super trendy clothes to work? If so, how do you keep it appropriate?

Weekend Wear: Adidas Original Superstar
| Dress – Gap | Jacket – Old Navy | Sneakers – Adidas | I’m an 80s baby all the way. I grew up in Brooklyn watching my older cousins rock custom Louis Vuitton pieces, track suits, four-finger rings, and door-knocker earrings. My older cousin (we’ll call her T) always had the illest stuff. We were inseparable as kids. Mostly because I wouldn’t let her move a muscle without me! I am certain she has something to do with my shopping habits. There wasn’t much that my brother and I wanted for as kids. We essentially had all the best toys, clothes and shoes. However, I can’t recall ever having a pair of shell top Adidas, know now as the Adidas Original Superstar. Buying these sneakers brought back so many childhood memories from Brooklyn. I am here for the resurgence of the Adidas Originals trend. I have my eye on…

Plant Based Eating Reloaded – Meat Alternatives
I’ve been a plant-based eater for the past seven years and I still have cravings for meat. Changing your lifestyle is a continual process. I am undoing 30 years of eating habits, cultural traditions, and societal norms. This country girl grew up raising pigs, slaughtering chickens and catching catfish. As a kid, I hated raising animals at our house and working in the family garden. I had zero appreciation for that fact that most of the food I ate was grown right in my neighborhood. Everyone did their part and contributed to the cause. My grandfather raised and slaughtered pigs. My uncle had a huge garden with what seemed like every vegetable you can think of. I had a cousin that fished every week and blessed my family with fresh fish. People were always dropping off fresh food to my grandparent’s house: corn, lima beans, strawberries, watermelon, grapes…the list is…
