Two weeks ago I had the wonderful opportunity of hosting an in-store event at a local Sally’s Beauty Supply for Beautiful Textures and African Pride Dream Kids. This was my first time hosting an event for a brand and I was super nervous. However, once I was actually in the store interacting with the customers I relaxed and had a really great time. It was great seeing some familiar faces and making new connections with the ladies that took the time to chat with me about their natural hair journey. Several of the ladies that stopped in were very familiar with Beautiful Textures brand. According to the store manager Beautiful Textures is one of her best selling products.
Blogger Chanell Nicole and her adorable daughter Brooklyn stopped by. I was seriously loving Chanell’s Lily Pulitzer for Target maxi dress. How cute are Brooklyn kitten flats?
This young ladies style was so cute, from head to toe! So stopped by while running an errand for her supervisor.
These ladies ended up being the life of the party, they made my last hour and a half fly by. We talked about everything from Kat’s wonder blonde cut to her friends amazing locs.

Last but not least, I LOVED my outfit. I’ve had my eye on this skirt for a few weeks but it was sold out. I added my name to the wait-list and it was restocked just in time. I’ve learned that in situations that make me nervous it’s best to wear something that makes me feel good. One less thing I have to stress about. I paid full price for these sandals but not before I scoured the internet looking for a better deal. They were comfortable enough for me to stand in them the entire event.
This event was one for the books and I had an amazing time. I can confidently declare my first in-store event to be a success. I am really grateful to Beautiful Textures for this opportunity.
