Off the Shoulder Dress: Summer Trend

Trends are awesome but only it if makes sense for your lifestyle.  I’m loving all the different variations of off the shoulder dresses and tops but I wasn’t so sure the trend would work for me.  However, when I saw this H&M off-the-shoulder dress I knew I needed it.  I was sold on the cross-over detail on the back of the dress but I knew it would look much better worn in the front.  To play up the subtle v neckline I added this African inspired beaded necklace from Forever 21.  Lastly, I threw on my new lace-up gladiator sandals.  If you have thicker calves like me gladiator sandals that lace-up in the front are the perfect option. Summer Style: How to Kill it at Work This Summer

Summer is here and most of us are experiencing temperatures well into the 90s on a daily basis.  I personally would love to show up at the office in a pair of cutoffs, tank top and flip flops everyday; however that isn’t my reality.  For those of us that have to oblige to the rules of dressing professionally on a daily basis I’ve put together a list of my three summer essentials that are office appropriate.
