| Jacket – Burlington | Tank – Target | Pants – Express | Scarf – Target | Shoes – Madden Girl | Okay so I complained about it being hot and now it’s cold! I’m sure most of you wouldn’t consider 55 degrees to be that cold at all. I am not conditioned for anything below 60 degrees anymore. I cringe every time my mom tells me how cold it is in NYC. But I do enjoy the cooler weather it allows me to bring out some of my cute winter clothes. Today is the perfect day for my pink faux leather jacket. Faux leather has become so popular; you can get the same great look without spending all that cash. Let me just say pink is not something I would normally gravitate towards, but I loved all the details of this jacket. I am sucker for anything with ruffles…
I try my best to take my pics in the morning before I leave for work. Well this morning I was kinda running behind and when I stepped outside on my balcony it was hot as blazes! I have to make it a point to be out there before 7:30…
| Cardigan – Oldnavy | Tank – Target | Belt – F21 | Jeans – JCP | My two favorite prints are stripes and leopard. This idea was inspired by Kandis from Kandi-STYLE’s Point of View. I loved the way she mixed the two patterns and it really looked great.…
Happily Thankful
Yesterday I was feeling lonely and kinda sad…but I turned that around last night before I went to bed. Despite feeling down I gave thanks to God for all the wonderful things I have in my life. Yesterday may have been a down moment for me but overall I am truly happy and blessed. I woke up today feeling wonderful and excited about starting my day. I’m happily thankful for my family, my friends, and my strength…oh and my furbaby! | Shirt – Oldnavy | Pants – NY&Co. | Shoes – Local Store | I went shopping this weekend and was finally able to get my hands on some camel pants, and I love them. They feel great and the color is awesome. I choose to keep my top simple as not to take away from the details of the pants. Now all I need is a camel-colored sheath dress…
(Vogue cover via HuffingtonPost) I LOVE Michelle Obama! She is undeniably a style icon for me. Mrs. Obama knows exactly what works for her and is on point every time. I had an opportunity to attend an Obama rally back in 2008 with front row access (thanks to my job).…
| Jacket – Oldnavy | Pants – NY&Co. | Shoes – Jessica Simpson | There are not enough hours in the day to do all the stuff I have to do and then all the stuff I like to do! I attend school Monday – Thursday which doesn’t allow time…
I’m a Veteran…
(Corfu, Greece. I was a newlywed in this pic! ) | Tank – Target | Jeans – Gap | Sneakers – Nike | Purse – Target | Yep, I was in the Navy from 1999-2003 and was honorably discharged as a Petty Officer 3rd Class. I had the opportunity to live in Italy the entire time I served, which was an experience within its self. I was able to travel to some of the most beautiful places: France, Spain, Greece, Malta, Turkey, Spain, Isreal, and Turkey just to name a few. I met the love of my life in the Navy…only to lose him but that’s another post.
I changed my hair! I will probably rock this style through the new year. Anyone that reads my blog knows I love pencil skirts, especially the Merona brand from Target. They fit me so perfectly! Another obsession is ruffling, I have so many ruffled shirts, smh. *I changed my belt…
| Blazer – HM | Jean – Express | Shoes – Steve Madden | It’s cold in Miami! Well, not that cold…it’s in the ’60s. So it’s not cold enough for me to break out the tights and boots yet. It’s supposed to go down to the 50’s tonight so…
