I gave up on Target designer collaborations after my Phillp Lim for Target experience, you can read about it here. However, prior to being trampled trying to get my hands on a few purses I had always kicked myself for missing out on the Prabal Gurung and Jason Wu for Target collections. I loved the colorful prints of Parabal Gurung designs and the simplicity of the Jason Wu pieces.
Two years later it seemed like a good idea to try and find a few pieces from the collections I missed out on. This dress along with the Jason Wu navy poplin dress were the only pieces I really wanted to get my hands on. After a quick eBay search I was able to find both dresses for less then $25, score!
I normally hate how trumpet skirts/dresses look on me but I purposely bought this dress too big so I could have it altered for the perfect fit. I ended up wearing this dress to my cousins graduation and it was a hit. I didn’t feel overdressed or too casual.
P.S. Thank you so much for the kind words about my blog and how much you’ve appreciated my little contribution to the blogosphere. You guys made me feel a little bit better about stepping away from blogging. It’s nice to be appreciated. As a blog reader I know what it’s like when your favorite blogger just disappears. You guys don’t deserve that, so when the time comes I’ll be sure to end things properly.
