Did I tell you guys how much I
love my new camera! The quality of my pictures are awesome.  I took
these pics on my lunch break and let me tell you it was HOT as heck!
Ugh, why is it still 90 degrees in Miami??? I also forgot my sunglasses hence
me squinting in most of these pics but I still love them anyway.  I am
rocking my absolute favorite wrap dress that I have had for five years and
will probably have for five more.

So this post is titled double take because that is exactly what everyone did Monday morning when I walked into work.  Let me back up…no one but you guys, my internet family, has seen my “real” hair in about three years.  So of course people were shocked to see me with this huge puff and not my normal hairstyle.  For the most part I received positive feedback, there were a few people that wanted to know if this was all my hair.  Our UPS guy called me Foxy Brown and insisted on touching my hair, which I let him, lol.  One of our contractors walked into my office and asked me “what happened?” hmmmm…I held my tongue.  So all in all it has been a good experience so far.  Lots of amazing compliments, I  was nervous for nothing.  I did attempt a twist out and it was a disaster, I need to work on my technique.

I have also realized this week that accessorizing is important.  I have been so lazy when it came to putting on my accessories, I sometimes go days without wearing earrings.   I immediately remedied that since my face is fully exposed.  I will probably continue wearing my natural hair into next week so I can perfect my twist out.  Any suggestions on a good twist out tutorial for my 4a, b, and c hair.

WOW!! I thought you had on a puff:)  your hair looks thick and very healthy, can't wait to see it in a twist out. Check out MrsVaughnTV on Youtube and tell me what you think. Her hair appears to be a bit curly but I love her natural tutorials. Good Luck!!!

  5. I have 4 type hair. I used to do my to's on wet hair. It's good for shine but the shrinkage is tough to take. I preferred doing to's on dry hair using scented shea butter and nothing else. Shea butter holds the twists lovely and detangles at the same time.  Make sure it's a scent you like since its so close to your nose. Make sure to twirl the ends. That prevents unraveling.

Now that dress and those shoes…. Girl YES! I love 'em and would run off and get one, but alas I have different proportions. But the shoes………

  6. Oooooh!  Foxy Brown!  I love it!  I said it in your last post but MAN YOUR HAIR LOOKS GREAT!  This wrap dress is very flattering on you as well!  I love the pattern with those cobalt heels!

If I had hair that would puff so perfectly, I wouldn't even attempt a twist out – rock on with your big bad fro! But, you know office folk always have something to say.  Whatever!

  9. I like to do a twist out on semi-wet hair.  Not soaking wet and not bone dry either.  Also I like to moisturize it first, then use some twist and loc gel to hold.  I usually keep my twists in for a few days before I take them down.  Love the wrap dress.

I love this 'fit! You look fab from head to toe. And this dress is slimming on you. I've been natural for a year but have yet to 'wear it out'  because I still want to be a diva…I applaud you for doing just that with style, flair and grace!

People always want to touch natural hair!  🙂 I'm happy that you wore it natural to work. I think the first day is the hardest, and every day after that is just fine. I love your big poof so keep rockin' it. And, of course, I recommend you use YouTube to find tutorials–there are so many for natural hair girls.

Love it! I recommend using Cantu Leave-in Conditioner and Curls Unleashed Defining Cream together to comb through in sections and twist as you go. I use a big elastic band to hold my hair away from the part I'm twisting. This combo has cut down my time in half to just an hour to twist my whole head.

  23.  Thank you for the suggestions, what to you do to the ends of your twists?  I tried using tiny curling rods but that doesn't seem to work either.

  24.  Yes! I guess they just assume because someone ALWAYS wears protective styles they have no hair, lol.

  25.  They sure do! This bush is far from perfect it took a lot of taming to get this sucker up like that, lol.

  26. Thanks Roodlyne, I agree damp or dry hair is best for me so I don't loose too much length to shrinkage.

  27.  Thank you, I never thought about using twist and loc gel.  I am going to put that on my list of products to try.

  28.  Thank you! Yep that's all me.  Eboni (Fashionista Next Door) also told me about her vids, I am loving them so far.  Thank you!
