Confidence and Self-Love

| Jacket – Target | Bodysuit – F21 | Skirt – H&M | Shoes – BCBG | Purse – Rebecca Minkoff | It’s been a rough couple of days for me.  However, looking back at these photos as I type this post is putting a smile on my face.  I’ve come such a long way from being the quiet girl that always worried about fitting in.  When I was in the first grade I moved to NC from NYC.  From that moment until the age of 28 I always felt out of place.  Never realizing that I wasn’t suppose to fit in. It took me getting divorced and my entire life being thrown into a tail-spin for me to realize that.  At the time I believed I wasn’t good enough and I was washed up at 28, lol.  I know, I couldn’t see past my current situation.  However, you are…

On Trend: Draped Front Jacket

| Belted Trench – c/o Shein | Bodysuit – F21 |Ankle Trousers – Express | Booties – Boutique 9 | Long Draped Front Jacket The weather in Miami has been very fickle lately.  For the past two weeks, it’s been cold off and on, which has given me several opportunities to wear my cute winterish clothes.  Of course winterish really just means long sleeves and closed-toe shoes.  This long draped front jacket is functional and dramatic.  It keeps the chill away and makes me feel like I have a diva fan on me every time the breeze blows. For my first photo diary, I ventured out to Wynwood Art District the new “hipster” neighborhood in Miami.  Wynwood is famously known for its beautiful murals, graffiti art and Art Walk that occurs every second Saturday of the month. I’ve eaten at several great restaurants in Wynwood (Morgans, Coyo Taco, Kush, etc.).  Of course, I’ve had a few photo shoots in front of some great murals.  However, I never really walked around and immersed myself in the neighborhood.…

Major changes to your lifestyle take effort, time and discipline. I’ve been on my wellness journey for 6.5 years and I am still learning new things. I have to constantly remind myself that undoing over thirty years of eating habits, cultural norms, and group think is a continuous process. So…
