Casual Fridays usually get a bad rap because some employees take it too far. Casual work wear is not weekend wear. It’s best to find out your company’s casual Friday dress code before you show up in your favorite sneakers and long shorts.
If you do a quick search of “casual Friday work outfits” on pinterest you will be met with a plethora of blazer/jeans outfits with several cardigan/jeans outfits mixed in as well. I love a good blazer jean combination, see this post. However, I think it’s cool to also display more of your personal style on Fridays and still be work appropriate.
This top is a swim cover-up that I grabbed from Forever 21 for a mere $12. I love how vibrant this cover-up is but without a tank top underneath it’s too sheer for the office. Not only is this top a beautiful shade of red the pattern on the front and back is amazing and the longer length allowed me to comfortably wear my Old Navy curvy skinny jeans without feeling like I was exposing too much.
