Birthday Girl

I usually like for my birthday to be a big extravaganza staring me but this year I wasn’t into all that.  My brother and his family drove down from NC to spend the weekend with me which was amazing.  It’s always an experience when I am around my three nieces and this time wasn’t any different, lol. They are a handful but I wouldn’t trade them for anything.

My actually birthday was last Monday 9/22 and since my family was in town the weekend before I didn’t get a chance to celebrate with my blogging girls. I enjoyed a wonderful birthday brunch with them this weekend; it’s always a great time when we get together.  One of the best things about blogging is meeting new people that become friends.  If I had never started blogging I would have never met Ashley, Jeanee and Kerissa.

My outfit was an easy comfortable look.  I found this skirt online randomly when Kerrisa and I were texting and shopping online one day together, which we do often.  I am a sucker for stripes and the fact that the skirt had pockets, a tulle underlay and was on sale made it a quick buy. The tulle is kind of itchy but it’s not too annoying.  I ordered a really cute crop to from ASOS but it didn’t work out so I went with the tried and true knotted t-shirt. As you can see I decided to try box braids.  Well I actually decided in May when I made my appointment for September! Ella’s work is amazing which why she is already booked through next year! If you’re in Miami check her out on IG @Ellabraids.

Lastly, kudos to Jeanee for my new blog layout.  Isn’t it awesome, my friends are so talented! We are still working out the kinks so bear with us while we figure out the remaining details.  If you notice something not working let me know in the comments. Sorry for the super long post but I had so much to share 😉
