Mean what you say…

This post is in reference to my new hair post I did a couple days ago. I recently purchased a lace front wig from beautyshoppers.com. This was my second time using the site and I had been pleased with their service previously. My issue is with their false advertising…I purchased my new wig under the assumption that it was a remy human hair wig as stated on the website. Remy hair has all the cuticles going in the same direction, and all intact. The hair has a natural flow if all the cuticles are in the same directions and tangles less.

Once I got my wig, I tried it on and loved it. I washed it, which I do with all my new wigs, and I styled it. While styling the wig I noticed the ends of the hair felt really ragged. I figured once I curled the hair the ends would straighten out, and they did. Hair turned out beautifully as you guys saw, I posted pics immediately. The next day I was out the door headed to ATL. No problems, the first day…hair was fine. The second day, the hair started to tangle horribly in the back of the wig. I kept having to finger comb it to get rid of the tangles. Worrying about hair was not a priority since I was at Mardi Gras to have a good time…I threw a braid in my hair and kept it moving. Day three, more tangles and the hair kept bunching up…braided it again. At this point I am pissed, even non-remy hair shouldn’t have behaved like that.

On my way back to ATL I called beautyshoppers.com and informed them I was not satisfied with my wig. I explained to her that a remy human hair wig shouldn’t tangle like that. The customer service rep says to me…”that wig isn’t remy human hair, actually it’s not human hair either” at this point I am livid. I say to the rep that the wig is advertised as Remy Human Hair…she tells me “it’s not remy human hair unless it says 100% remy hair” Then she proceeds to tell me that I should have followed the directions that came with the wig. Almost like the fact that I was sold a wig that was actually synthetic but listed as human hair didn’t matter! It was my fault because I didn’t follow the directions to the T. I am defiantly pissed because I purchased this hair under the assumption that I was getting a remy human hair wig…why advertise it as that if it isn’t!

As a consumer I want to be able to make an informed decision on what I purchase. I am entitled to that option if am spending money with your company. Trick advertising or selective marketing is bad business. Either the wig is human hair or it isn’t. I shouldn’t have to make a guess as to what I am buying. So after a lot of back and forth they agreed to refund my money. I wasn’t going to post anything about this but I got some many inquires about my hair and where I purchased it. I wanted to give you guys the full info. If anyone is still interested in purchasing it, it is not 100% human hair…I think it may be 50/50 which is a human hair-synthetic mix. I wouldn’t recommend any type of heat styling, you should wear it as it. I did purchase a new wig locally today. Janet Collection Uptopia, 100% Pure Remy Human Hair wig. Pictures to come =)

Sorry for the long post…
